Bedouin Soundclash with The Junction @ Louis Pub 11/17/05

So FINALLY Louis got their act together & did not have an all ages show for once. What a better experience to be free to roam with drinks in tote without worrying about being stopped by some bouncer. Even if you're only drinking iced tea.

The show was very fun. I think however I had more fun rockin to The Junction who opened. (why is that mostly the case at indie shows?) ANyhoo imagine ska like guitar mixed with Nirvana like vocals & double kick insano drummer. I wish Bono & bDan both could've seen them. They kicked! Very energtic. I'll have to source out an album or two.

Bedouin was fun too. I had more fun watching the crowd try to dance to reggae. It's very strange...I unfortunately got a mouthful of some dirty beeswaxy dandruffed dreads when some girl decided to shake them out into my drink. Ick. People are so unaware of their surroundings. Maybe too I was grumpy from being INCREDIBLY sick. Yes folks it's that time of year again where Natty loses her voice & balance. I have the worst head/chest/face cold known to hippies. It sucks. Just in time for NIN tomorrow too. Boo. But nothing can stop me now...cuz I don't care anymore (whoa quoting the lyrics n everything I'm so lamo)

I felt too that the lead singer for the SOundclash was incredibly wasted on something. He had problems keeping up with guitar & kept talking WAY too much in between songs. FUnny that no-one seemed to care though. Maybe cuz everyone else was just as? They didn't play till 11pm or so. But still very tight band. I'd see them again & I'm glad they packed the place. Yay!

Well I'm off to NeoCitran land. Thankfully we don't leave till 12 tomorrow so I can sleep in a bit (& on the way). I'll give ya'll a full recap when I get back!
