Tequila!
What an adventure....I think Jordy & I have found our place to settle down someday when we're old & done. This vacation completed me in so many ways, as well as the rest of us. I, for one, conquered my fear of water! The ocean & I got acquainted, you know, had THE TALK, & now are best of friends. (which only makes sense for my Pisciean nature!) Yep this is me...SNORKELING!
It was really freaky at first, for I don't remember how to swim at all, so when the guide told me to jump i, I kinda panicked. Then I felt like I couldn't breathe, dummy that I am trying to breathe through my nose! Once I figured it out however that I wasn't going to drown, WOW! We snorkeled for about 45mins then got to go through this cave that ancient Aztecs used for ceremonies. What power! After more snorkeling (which I got slammed into a reef rock thanks to the waves) we headed off to the beach Marietta for 90 mins to just chill. Beautiful white white sand & no one else but us. I laid on the sand & listened to the ocean while the sun cooked my skin. AMAZING!
Jordy also conquered his fear of heights by going on a tour of the canopy which involved ziplining through it, sometimes 250ft up! EESH! Anyhow, he did it with reckless abandon & even went across a rope bridge with NO HANDS! Way to go babe! I was flabbergasted. Jordy's now decided he wants to be a volunteer someday for Vallerta Adventures Canopy Tour. HA!
I have to say, I've never been so at peace in my life. The people, the culture, the food...it was very hard to come back to the rat race of every day life. If anything, I have re-instilled my wonder in the beauties of the world. We get so caught up in work & forget how beautiful this earth is, & what we take for granted here in Canada. Our air is SO clean...I didn't realize how much. So I guess all my "issues" I've been having in life are pretty escapable & really not so bad huh? More trips will be had very soon. Even today, I took a walk by the river here in Saskatoon & breathed. Nothing else. When was the last time you did that? It's shocking isn't it? Go do it then!
Hopefully this works out...I have a clip from Clint & Dwayne's camera of a mariachi band that played for my "almost birthday" in a bar called Viello Vallerta in downtown P.V. It was my lifelong dream to have play for me!! HOORAY!
Boo to my shitty computer...I'm unable to post this video so I'll maybe email it to everyone or something...I need a new puter badly!! Well here are some other pics anyways, the first one is of the resort Canto Del Sol, the 2nd showcases our new fave drink the Chi Chi, & lastly is of Jordy & I during my birthday & the BEST sunset ever!
