Festival Goodness
I just recently found out that while I will be in Vancouver, the Int. Film Fest. will be on!! YAY! Before I decided to embark on the culinary path, I fancied the idea of someday enrolling to film school & become a director. (I was half enrolled at the U of R but got cold feet last minute & dropped out) I guess it wasn't something I truly wanted (don't you wish there was a manual that told you these things sometimes...now I live with the "what if...") But besides that, the V.I.F.F. is something I've always DREAMED of attending since I was 14. & now that my lil bro is living in Van. & going to school in the industry, we have some pretty sweet access to this madness! Oh Val Kilmer here I come!!
Anyways here are the films we're off to see. You can check them out in further detail at the site.
The Duelist (in tradition of crouching tiger's love story & swordplay)
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (stars Robert Downey Jr, Val Kilmer, Michelle Monaghan. Neo-Noir dark comedy that apparentley involves a little male-on-male action?!)
Beowulf & Grendel (Sarah Polley plays this evil witch in a fantasy of the same vein of LOTR & Brother's Grimm; I have such an appeal for this one)
Metal: A Headbanger's Journey (how could i resist this one!?! a doc. on the culture...maybe I'll find myself in it somewhere?)
So I'll let you all know how they fare, man I still can't beleive I'm going!

Film Festival! Yay! I strangely have never partaken in it. Should there be time, this would be a good year to...
