Who said an 80s party was going to be that fun anyways???

Wow am I ever "tech" advanced here! It took me awhile to figure out this silly blog thing, I still can't beleive I'm getting sucked into this *shakes fist at Bono*

So yeah I had the pleasure of attending an 80s party at Amigoes last night. I even got dressed up, called myself "Sheena" , was ready for a rockin' good time. I kept getting told I looked like the grrl from Napoleon D. Not too bad at least I was more comfie than half the fools decked out in spike heels, leg warmers, & fishnets.

As I was surrounded by bad dancers, bad music, & freeky men in jean/leather apparell, I started to wonder why is it that this "decade" is soo obsessed with recreating the past? I've been to every style of party these past 2 yrs...is it maybe because we have no identity ourselves? It seems to be a mesh of just about anything 50s, 60s, 80s. Things that make you go hmmmm...

I was really sad not to hear any of the "good" music from that era (heh I use that term VERY loosely) I was onslaughted with Lionel Richie, Bonnie Tyler, Madonna, MARS *shudder* Meanwhile I'm screaming where's the Blondie, Devo, Eurythmics....damn even the freakin SAFETY DANCE!!? Sigh....I guess the 80s was diff. for everyone.

So the madness went til 2am for me. I was a lil bit more "tipsy" than planned (I guess that's the effect Mr. Richie's Dancing on the ceiling has on me...I could not drink ENOUGH to kill that!) I sadly left my warm jacket in Blair's car so it was cab ride home for me. I think the cabbie thought I always dressed in bright purple track pants maybe the side dread ponytail thing worked for him too, regardless it was the perfect nightcap to get hit on mercilessly by some Croatian wierdo. Moral to this story...ack there's too many, how bout you pick? I need to go back to sleep.
