I burst a vein somehow

I had something truly painful happen to my finger today. & what is strange was I did absolutely NOTHING! I had just finished receiving some boxes at work & was taking a break when I felt this ghastly pain in my right ringfinger. I looked at it to see it rapidly turning purple & swelling beside my knuckle as if a vein busrt or something? Obviously I'm not medically skilled to give the correct terminology here but DAMN dude that HURT! Now I feel slightly incapacitated with a swelled hurty finger. Which is awesome cuz there's so much work to do at the store with the big boss man coming in on Thurs. What's the deal?

How come I get this instead of a free DVD player? HUH!?
